Dear Tom,
How is it going recently? With Chinese Lantern Festival around the corner, I’m writing to introduce this festival and our school’s activity which was held on this festival.
The Lantern Festival which is one of the most important festivals in China, falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month every year. On that day people will have a dish made of rice dumplings,also named“tangyuan”,which was similar to“tuanyuan ”. As usual ， people will let off fireworks and hold a Lantern riddles guessing game.
These activities are the ways to share happiness with everyone.
This afternoon our school also held an activity to celebrate the Lantern Festival.Every students can join the lantern riddles guessing game and the winner will get prizes.As a symbol of fullness and family togetherness ， The Lantern Festival is such a meaningful festival that everyone looks forward to it.
